MENLO PARK, Calif. – Facebook today revealed its “News Feed Preferences” tool. This new feature gives users more direct control over what appears in their main News Feed. People can now better shape their own Facebook experience.

They can also choose to see more posts from specific friends or Pages. Conversely, they can choose to see less from others. This applies to friends, Pages, and groups.

Further, users can discover new Pages connected to their interests. The tool suggests Pages based on existing activity. People can follow these new Pages directly. They can also unfollow any Page or person to stop seeing their content instantly. Unfollowing keeps the connection intact. It just removes their posts from the feed.
