Not to be confused with the Park Hyatt Tokyo or the nearby Royal Park Hotel Tokyo, this Park is an overlooked gem in the Shiodome complex on the edge of Ginza. It’s a high-riser, with the best rooms offering close-up views of the Tokyo Tower. Most of the rooms are minimalist but comfy affairs. More fun are the rooms on the artist floor, where creators were given free rein to redecorate. Some are more soporific than others: cherry blossoms and Mt Fujis are more conducive to sleep than angry dragons or sumo wrestlers. The dreamy room toiletries are designed by skincare specialists Thann, who also run the hotel’s Sanctuary spa, and should cure even the worst insomnia.
